ABSTRACT
In 1984, Apple Computer introduced a new type of microcomputer that was designed with the user in mind. This new technology uses a graphical user interface, better known as GUI (pronounced gooey), instead of the traditional typed command line. Users no longer need to remember commands and their parameters. With this interface, users select actions called commands, with a mouse from pull-down menus to be performed on graphics, called icons.
