ABSTRACT
As discussed in Section 18.7 of this book, Matlab ®, 1 by the Math Works, Inc., is a general-purpose mathematics package. It can be used as an interpreted, command-line processor, somewhat like a sophisticated desktop calculator. However, it is also a complete language, running .M files within the Matlab environment or as called from other,M files. These features make it ideal for both quick computations and extensive simulations, analysis, and software development.
