ABSTRACT

Boko Haram’s insurgency has taken aim at churches and mosques in a vigorous manner and with delight. The fatalities are high, and the attacks have provoked strong emotions. Nigerian Christian leaders argue that Boko Haram chooses only Christians for massacre. However, the insurgents have killed thousands of Muslim faithfuls. The Kano Central Mosque bombing of November 2014 killed over 200 people, while the Kodugha Mosque attack in August 2013 killed over 50.
