ABSTRACT
The Global Terrorism Index (GTI) report for 2017 ranked Nigeria as the third most terrorized nation in the world for that year, even though Boko Haram killings fell by 80%. 1 Nigeria’s third-place ranking placed it ahead of Iraq and Afghanistan, but behind Syria, Pakistan, India, Turkey and Libya. 2
