Another matter dealt with in this chapter concerns severed land. The authority will have specified the land it requires for its purposes, say a road, on a plan attached to the CPO, but the land may not coincide with ownership or occupational units; the owner who is to lose his front sitting room to a road widening scheme might feel aggrieved if he could not sell the whole house to the authority.
