ABSTRACT
Chapter 3 explores behavior that is not classified as mild aggression or incivility. This next level involves moderate dysfunctional behavior, which includes individuals who partake in mild to moderate forms of emotional manipulation. We look at different dysfunctional behaviors related to bullies, and the different types of bullies that we may encounter in the workplace. This chapter also explores other types of dysfunctional behavior, including the paranoid, the narcissists/egoists and the backstabbers, and the emotionally abusive tactics related to dysfunctional behaviors. We will spend a great deal of time on this chapter, as this is the area that individuals tend to struggle with the most and it is probably the most difficult to understand or categorize. In addition, these behaviors seem to be the most relatable in the workplace.
