ABSTRACT

There is a significant rise in the use of contract employees throughout the games and tech industries. By using contract companies, major studios and publishers can ship titles and products faster than ever before. But contract companies routinely take advantage of the most marginalized populations in the workforce and it creates and unbreakable divide between contract employees and full-time employees. Despite the poor work environments created by staffing agencies and contract companies, people continue to renew contracts over and over again, sometimes even for years. What is it about Nintendo that creates such a loyalty from workers who aren't even on their payroll?
