ABSTRACT

Communication and the accuracy with which messages are delivered are of critical importance in the health care system. The hospital information system, in particular, should lead to set criteria for information systems in communication in health care systems which have not been set for hospitals. One of the major areas where telecommunications could and should play a vital role is in the whole area of disease prevention. Development of emergency medical services systems across the country has resulted in the development of varying patterns of communications. The major means of communication in the health care system is through the medium of reports and memorandum. The formulation of reports involves a great deal of time and effort. The report is usually designed for a particular audience and may be used to detail accomplishments, indicate work in progress, or outline an idea.
