ABSTRACT

Rummy is one of the most popular card games, for, while it calls for a certain amount of facility in elementary maths and care in watching points, it is very easily learnt and imposes no undue mental strain; it is, therefore, as much a favourite with “teen-agers “as it is, in its more highly specialized and gambling forms, with the more mature. Counters are a necessity, but whether one attaches a money value to them or not is entirely a matter for the party to decide, and so is the size of the party— for almost any number can take a hand.
