Have you, Sir Reader, met a really thoroughgoing feminist? In case you have not, you may do well to fortify yourself against the possibility of such an encounter in the future. The ordinary everyday feminist is content to suggest that men and women should be equals, but the thoroughgoing feminist holds that women should have the position hitherto enjoyed by men and men should have the position hitherto endured by women. Can anything so monstrous be imagined ? But the justification offered is still more monstrous: it is revenge.
