ABSTRACT

In this and the following chapter we shall consider the use of an infinitive as a. tertiary. The formula is 3(1), but in those cases in which the preposition to is felt to retain its usual force we might write 3(pI); as, however, a preposition with its regimen generally is a tertiary the numeral 3 is often omitted in AnalSynt, in which I have written pl(I), see 18.1 and 2. These variations are really insignificant.
