ABSTRACT
The value for the bereaved of attending the viewing and funeral of the deceased has been docum ented extensively in the literature (Doka, 1995; Grollman, 1993; Fitzgerald, 1992; M organ, 1990; Schaefer & Lyons, 1986; Worden, 1996). The funeral is overwhelmingly considered a valuable ritual in helping the bereaved adjust to the loss of a loved one (Klicker, 1997).
