ABSTRACT

There was soon more trouble with local authorities over track. At a meeting of Ealing Council in February 1911 a letter from Middlesex County Council was read. It said that unless track was put into proper repair the county surveyor and engineer could not certify, when the accounts were rendered, that the track had been properly maintained and repaired. Middlesex recommended that the Lut be notified that if the defects were not remedied it would have to consider taking action under Section 28 of the Tramways Act.
