ABSTRACT
A complicated situation had developed in the Wimbledon area. After consultation with the Croydon Rural District Council the Wimbledon Urban District Council had decided, late in 1900, to promote a Bill for a tramway between Wimbledon Broadway and the county boundary at Longley Road, Tooting, there to join a possible extension of the Lcc tramways from Upper Tooting.
