ABSTRACT
The maritime carriage of cargoes is governed not only by a set of laws and regulations, but is also overseen and monitored by several international maritime organisations, although none of the organisations detailed in this section are directly responsible for the global administration of marine cargo management. Each organisation touches upon the issue as part of its overall remit, but does not concentrate on the subject as its main function.
