ABSTRACT
The mass spectrum is a plot in which the x-axis represents the mass to charge ratio, and the y-axis represents the relative number of ions. A primary use of this spectrum is the determination of the molecular weight which is numerically equivalent to the mass to charge ratio of the molecular ion.
