ABSTRACT

This chapter will explain the general format for writing, organising and presenting your dissertation. These formats will provide you with a guide to structure your dissertation which should make it easier for the reader to understand what your dissertation is all about. Specific requirements for presenting the dissertation may vary from one discipline to another and from one university to another; for example, the number of copies required, format of the front cover, size of paper, typesetting and the like. However, the general formats of presentation are much the same in most disciplines, and so the main task is to make sure that you write and organise your dissertation contents correctly.
