ABSTRACT

In this photographic essay, I deliberately aim to experiment with the image of the house I portray to you visually and textually. The style of writing that I use is purposefully mixed, midway between narrative and academic prose. I aim to explore how academic architectural writing can be made accessible to a wider audience rather than just an architectural one through use of a more expressive, conversational and anecdotal style of prose. This is done also because of my love of hearing spoken words, memories recounted verbally, pauses in speech.
