ABSTRACT
The French call it terroir. An elusive, indefinable mix of the soil, the mesoclimates and microclimates, the rainfall, the wind currents, all of the forces of nature. These ecological imperatives harmoniously conspire with human beings who respect those natural forces, and together produce a wine that speaks to a sense of place.
