ABSTRACT
Given divorce’s impact on older children, how might it affect those under the age of one? Several findings of the previous two chapters, such as communication of parental stress and repercussions of downward socioeconomic slide, may be presumed to apply. In other ways, however, infants represent a special case. Too young to have acquired language, they express their distress differently than older children.
