Decreasing Transition Times in a Second Grade Classroom: Scientific Support for the Timely Transitions Game

In response to a sixth-grade teacher’s request for assistance in reducing room-to-room transition times, Campbell and Skinner developed and evaluated the Timely Transitions Game (TTG). The researchers developed the TTG by combining three empirically validated intervention procedures: (a) interdependent group-oriented contingencies with randomly selected target behaviors and criteria, (b) explicit timing procedures, and (c) publicly posted group feedback.
