ABSTRACT
There are several different approaches to premarital counseling, and many clergy are requiring this as part of the wedding package. As a pastoral counselor, I am not the minister of a church, and so most of the people who ask me to perform a wedding are referred by friends or by wedding centers. If I require too much in the way of premarital counseling, most of the couples will simply look for another minister.
