ABSTRACT
It has been established that the simplest psychophysical models are not generalizable without regard to contextual conditions. For example, the exponent β in [3.2] is not properly taken as a constant, but is manipulable even in situations where the equation approximates to data (Ahlström and Baird, 1987).
