ABSTRACT
Distinctions between Exploratory Factor Analysis (EFA) and Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA), and basic notions concerning their applications in the context of construct validation, were introduced in Chapter 4. Although there is no clear demarcation line between EFAand CFA(e.g., Cliff, 1987; Marradi, 1981; Nunnally, 1978), the two approaches differ in important ways.
