ABSTRACT

Mr. K is a 43-year-old, married, Hispanic male who worked as a pharmacist until his license was revoked 3 years prior to this evaluation. A psychiatric evaluation was arranged by his attorney as part of an effort to have his license reinstated. The psychiatrist appointed to perform this evaluation requested this evaluation to help in assessing whether psychological problems exist that would prevent Mr. K from working effectively and without supervision as a pharmacist. Given a history of treatment for depression during the past 3 years, a specific question to be addressed concerns the presence and severity of a current depression.
