ABSTRACT
In the early chapters of this book, and especially in Chapter 2, we described the previous state of research about children of problem drinkers. In this chapter the results of our own research will be placed alongside the results of that conducted by others. The extent to which the present findings complement, or alternatively contradict, these other data will be examined and we shall draw some conclusions about the present state of knowledge in this field.
