ABSTRACT
Housing affordability is a major consideration in addressing spatial exclusion in rapidly urbanizing societies. In India, urbanization poses further peculiar challenges as compared to most other countries, given the high ratio of population to available natural resources. Hence, affordability is a major issue, not only in monetary terms but also in terms of environmental impact due to urbanization.
