ABSTRACT

This chapter introduces the application of the psychodramatic method within an organisational setting as part of a drop-in clinic for staff suffering from secondary trauma in an insurance company. The frame is a one-off intervention, which informs the author’s approach to the session. She describes both how she conducts the session, including her use of psychodramatic technique, and also her way of thinking as she engages with the process step by step. She is guided by role theory and role analysis, which she uses in a methodical and containing way.
