ABSTRACT
In Cocoa Beach, Nichols continued writing. 1 Though “Sissies” was never published, he wrote articles for the Advocate. Steve Yates and Gary Comingdeer moved to Cocoa Beach and expanded an active, daily, nurturing friendship with Nichols. Logan Carter wrote often and visited once. Carter told Nichols of a new friendship with Mark and spoke of the possibility of something more romantic. Nichols, at peace, offered positive reinforcement.
