ABSTRACT

The studies that have been analysed refer to the existence of different models and theories, standing as one of the most classic models the domino theory of Heinrich. This theory was developed and updated, highlighting the domino theory of Bird. The emergence of new perspectives responding to the organizations needs, led to more recent theories as the mul-tiple causation models, systems theories and socio-technical approaches (Manu et al., 2012; Roxo, 2004).
