Worker perception in relation to workplace comfort—an evaluation in metalworking industry

The intervention area of ergonomics is vast, and can be classified according to the object, the objective or the context of intervention (Rebelo 2004).

In the industrial context, Ergonomics can be evaluated based on several criteria, one of them the thermal comfort of workplaces. The thermal comfort plays an important role in building sustainability (Yao et al. 2009) and it is a key factor for a healthy and productive workplace (Akimoto et al. 2010, Taylor et al. 2008, Wagner et al. 2007).
