ABSTRACT

At a pilot plant of oil and gas industry, the maintenance work activities as well as the support work activities can be characterized as a work involving different tasks. This kind of work is distinguished by a wide variety of tasks that are part of the operator’s expertise and know-how. It also involves a set of tasks that underlies a large number of operations that are not always organized in a specific work cycle. These tasks can be performed at places that vary considerably from one to another. For example, a mechanic is required to perform different tasks, such as maintaining and repairing equipment throughout different chemical processing units at the pilot plant. On the support activities the operators can perform work activities also inside the chemical lab as well as inside or outside the unit plant.
