ABSTRACT
We can consider that high sound pressure levels in hospitals are common throughout the world, as reported in several studies: average between 60 and 65 dB (A) at a hospital in Austria, 55 dB (A) in a hospital of the University of Valencia in Spain and 68 dB (A) at ICU in Manitoba, Canada (Macedo, I, et al, 2009).
