ABSTRACT

The specialized literature presents some thermal indexes that aim to characterize a specific thermal environment (Gagge et al. 1986, Djongyang et al. 2010). According to Corleto (1998) and Djongyang et al. (2010), an index of thermal stress is a value that integrates the effect of various human indicators in the thermal environment, characterizing the comfort/discomfort to which an individual is subjected in a hot environment. It is in this context that the present project emerges, developed in an industrial environment in the scope of a multinational metalworking company.
