ABSTRACT
Peace talks between the Ugandan government and the Lord’s Resistance Army (LRA), a brutal rebel group, began shortly after the International Criminal Court released arrest warrants for the LRA leadership. The talks would be greatly affected by the ICC’s engagement, which was often misunderstood in Uganda and especially by the LRA. 1
