ABSTRACT
Since 1926 the conditions governing the relationship between owners and men have been settled by representatives of the two parties in the districts, subject to the two governing principles laid down by Parliament in respect of minimum wages and maximum hours of labour. The terms are embodied in a series of district agreements. There are twenty-one districts.
