ABSTRACT

Radiofrequency surgery has a learning curve. It is desirable to perform practice sessions on pieces of meat using the equipment and specific electrodes in order to avoid mistakes when treating patients. This chapter is totally devoted to facilitate the practice sessions using all the waveforms at different power settings. Applications of the waveforms in actual practice is also explained. Simple tips on the angle to the hold the handpiece and its importance in cutting tissues as well as its superior cosmetic outcome are very essential for understanding. The practice session is a must for all who desire to start radiofrequency surgery and is especially more important for nondermatologists who wish to start this technique in practice.
