ABSTRACT
Chapter Five shows how al-Qaraḍāwi is true to his ideology by supporting Hamas and the Islamic Movement (northern branch) in Israel. Al-Qaraḍāwi’s support finds expression of this ideology by leading an extremely rigid policy of rejecting any option regarding the recognition of Israel and making peace. This is not only spiritual leadership but also practical in some respects. His economic interpretation of this ideology finds its expression in sending monies in order to finance the activities of those Islamic groups, support their conflict and organize Islamic charity for them from all over the Muslim world.
