ABSTRACT
2.01 The normal or Gaussian type distribution curve is one that is met with very frequently, and is the idealized curve which would occur if we had a truly random variable. We shall now derive the equation for the Gaussian distribution, using a simple method of derivation based on several simple assumptions.
