ABSTRACT

An analytical method for the design double-layer shallow tunnel linings is proposed for cases when the first (outer) lining layer is constructed before excavation by injection of concrete in previously buried slit and the second (inner) lining layer is erected at some distance behind the tunnel face. The analytical method allows to determine the lining stress state taking into account the features of the construction technology and gives the opportunity to select material and thickness of the layers and distance between the second layer and the tunnel face.
