ABSTRACT
The linkway is located North of the proposed North East Line (NEL) Outram Park Station (OTP). It is an approximately 125m long subway, measuring 7m wide by 2.6m high, connecting the concourse level of the proposed NEL station to the platform level of the existing station. The linkway is estimated to serve a daily average of 8000 passengers commuting from the new OTP station on the NEL to the existing East-West Line. This paper gives an overview of the construction of the linkway beneath the existing OTP Station with particular focus on Linkway 3. It gives an insight into the construction methodolgy and its associated constraints concentrating on design, construction, monitoring and interface coordination.
