N-Nitrosodimethylamine

The uses of N-nitrosodimethylamine include: in tire manufacturing; fish processing; and in dye, leather, and rubber industries. The most significant source of non-occupational exposure comes from foods containing N-nitrosodimethylamine. Studies have shown that N-nitrosodimethylamine is also endogenously formed, although the amount is low under normal conditions. ^{3 , 4}
