ABSTRACT
The uses of 2,4,6-trichlorophenol include: as a preservative for wood and glue; in disinfectants, sanitizers, as a bacteriocide, germicide, pesticide; anti-mildew treatment for textiles, component of fungicides, herbicides, and defoliants. Its most important use is as a wood preservative; however, 2,4,6-trichlorophenol is no longer produced in the United States.
