ABSTRACT
The uses of asphalt include: in the paving and roofing trades; and is a residue of petroleum refining. Asphalt, upon cooling, also produces high concentrations of other compounds including hydrogen sulfide gas, carbon monoxide, propane, methane, and other aliphatic hydrocarbons.
