ABSTRACT
The use of benzidine is primarily in the manufacturing of azodyestuffs. Exposure in the occupational setting generally occurs in workers involved with either benzidine production or its conversion into direct azodyes. Benzidine is also used in the organic synthesis processes for manufacturing of pharmaceuticals and in the synthesis of rubber chemicals.
