ABSTRACT

“Cotton dust” is defined as dust that is generated into the air as a result of the processing of cotton fibers combined with any naturally occurring materials such as leaves, bracts, stems, and inorganic matter which may have accumulated on the cotton fibers during the growing or harvesting period. Cotton dust can also be generated from cotton processing through the weaving of fabric in textile mills and other manufacturing processes using new or waste cotton fibers or cotton fiber by-products from textile mills.
