ABSTRACT

The uses of ethylene dichloride include: in the manufacturing of ethylene glycol; as a solvent in hospitals, steel mills, blast furnaces, and air transportation industries; as a fumigant for grain; in the production of trichloroethylene and vinyl chloride; as a scavenger in gasoline; as a solvent for pesticides; as a component of paint, varnish, and finish removers; and in metal degreasing.
