ABSTRACT
The uses of formaldehyde include: as an embalming fluid in anatomy labs and morgues; in textile manufacturing; clothes making; in resin manufacture and paper production; furniture manufacturing; in foundries; fertilizer production; and in dyestuffs. In addition, non-occupational sources of formaldehyde include: discharge from auto emissions; vapors released from treated plywood, and foam insulation used in homes.
