ABSTRACT
The uses of hexachlorophene include: as an antibacterial agent in products such as soaps and deodorants; as an antifungal agent for citrus fluids and vegetables; a component in some toothpastes and mouthwashes; and prior to 1972 it was used as a disinfectant of rubber nipples for breast-feeding mothers.
