ABSTRACT

The Radiology Department strives to provide the highest quality radiologic services as an integral part of the healthcare team while pursuing continuous improvement and innovation. The upper management of a radiology organization is convinced of the need for a commitment to total quality improvement, implementation of the first of the 14 points is essential. In order to involve everyone in the transformation and make the goals of the organization clear, a well-defined vision and mission must be created. In some business circles, cynical comments may have been made regarding mission and vision statements; however, these comments probably reflect the feelings of individuals dissatisfied with their experience in the organization. This dissatisfaction may arise in an organization that fails to abide by its stated mission. MRH has been guided by its mission to care for patients with respiratory disease since its founding in 1918.
